As you may have guessed after my first full post, as well as numerous Instagram #fangirl moments, I am besotted, smitten, and head over heels in love with Leahlani Skincare. The products are pretty darn fabulous. Everything about them carries a high resonance from the heady tropical aromas to the silken textures. My very picky skin responds beautifully to the serums, elixirs, masks, cleansers, and toners, which actually came as a surprise.

Normally, I steer clear of richly scented products, even when they’re made of authentic ingredients and natural essential oils. Yet when you consider that the lovely founder Leah Klasovsky amassed her in-depth skincare knowledge by first healing her own cystic acne, followed by working as a holistic aesthetician for several years before branching out to create Leahlani Skincare, then it really isn’t surprising at all. She definitely knows what works on skin.

That’s why I am so excited and grateful that Leah has agreed to share her favorite skin recipes with us on The Hub of Clean Living. You will learn how to combine her products to maximize their performance on your skin. This kicks up results by several notches, plus they’re supremely enjoyable to use.

You will find that the formulas are supremely active and complementary, and the products even more delectable than when used on their own—if that’s fathomable!

I’ve tested out each one of her recipes and find it amazing what a difference a little tweak makes. If you’re already a fan—and even if this will be your first time trying out Leahlani Skincare—I can not wait for you to unlock the magic of Leah’s “Aloha Alchemy” on your skin too.

Thank you, Leah, for sharing six of your favorite recipes. And don’t miss a special offer at the end of the post! [Sold out!]

One of my favorite parts of being an esthetician was creating bespoke facials for my clients. I like to call it ‘aloha alchemy’, mixing products and creating the perfect potions to address what your skin is craving at the moment. When I began formulating Leahlani, aloha alchemy is what I had in mind. I promise you, once you begin experimenting and creating your own aloha alchemy, you will fall even deeper in love with your skincare ritual.

We are in the process of creating our own ‘Aloha Alchemy’ recipe book, but we wanted to share some of our favorite blends with you today.

What makes Leahlani Skincare irresistible?

One of my favorite cleansing blends is the combination of Kalima Cleansing Powder and Meli GLOW Nectar Mask. I love to use the combo in the mornings, my skin is left beautifully soft, supple, nourished and moisturized. Not to mention that the scent of these two beauties combined is heavenly, and will make you crave a tropical smoothie. The combo of Vitamin C, softening clays, nutrient beauty oils and raw honey will gently cleanse and exfoliate the skin while deeply nourishing and moisturizing the skin. Suitable for all skin types.

The alchemy:

Make sure to start by moistening your face with warm water so that it is damp before applying. [Note from Sarita: I like to dampen my skin with a few sprays of Citrus and Citrine or Bohemian Ruby to add bonus nutrients to the mix.]

  • Pour 1/2-1 tsp. of Kalima in the palm of your hand.
  • Slowly add a few drops of water, this will help to activate the Vitamin C. Blend well.
  • Add 1/2 tsp. of Meli GLOW into your palm and blend well.
  • Gently massage into your skin for about a minute. If you have time, allow time for her to sit on the skin for a few minutes before rinsing.
  • Rinse well with warm water.

Mermaid Mask + Siren Serum

Leahlani Skincare Secrets of Aloha Alchemy + skin recipes!!These two beauties go hand in hand. Since I began combining the two, I cannot use the Mermaid Mask without the addition of a few drops of Siren Serum. Not only will your skin feel more supple and moisturized, your complexion will exude a serious ‘aloha glow.’ The Siren Serum is a lightweight, oil based serum that absorbs like a dream and helps to promote cellular regeneration and a more even skin tone. Adding a few drops to the Mermaid Mask creates such a beautiful consistency that glides on the skin like a dream. I can feel my skin absorbing all of the superfood nutrients, and after I rinse, my skin feels clean, healthy and vibrant. This duo is especially beneficial for oily, combination and acne prone skin.

The alchemy:

Make sure to start by moistening your face with warm water so that it is damp before applying.

  • Scoop out 1/2 tsp of Mermaid Mask into your palm.
  • Add a few drops of Siren Serum to your palm and mix well. (For drier skin types, you may add 1/2-1 full pump of Siren Serum).
  • Allow at least 5 minutes before rinsing clean with cool water.

Honey Love + Champagne Serum

These are another pair that go hand in hand with each other. I personally exfoliate with the Honey Love 2-3x a week to help keep my skin clear and happy. I absolutely love this duo together to help calm inflammation and heal the skin. I find that my skin craves this duo when it feels more sensitive and dry.

Perfectly suited for all skin types, but especially beneficial for dry skin prone to redness and inflammation.

The alchemy:

Make sure to start by moistening your face with warm water so that it is damp before applying.

  • Stir the Honey Love well to activate the crystals at the bottom of the jar.
  • Scoop out 1/2 tsp to the palm of your hand.
  • Add 1/2 pump of Champagne Serum to your palm and blend well.
  • Apply evenly to the skin and spend about a minute gently massaging into the skin, focusing on areas of congestion.
  • Allow 3-5 minutes for her to work her magic before rinsing well with warm water.

Kokoleka Mask + Citrus and Citrine Toner

Sweet chocolate and citrus bliss, this duo is a serious treat for the skin! Once a week, I indulge in this combo to help purify, detoxify and revitalize my complexion. Activating Kokoleka with Citrus and Citrine will help to brighten the complexion, enhance circulation, gently exfoliate the skin, encourage cellular renewal and deeply cleanse each pore. It is an instant ‘pick me up’ that will leave your skin glowing. This duo is best suited for oily/combo skin.

The alchemy:

  • Pour 1-2 teaspoons of Kokoleka into the palm of your hand or into your treatment bowl.
  • Shake your bottle of Citrus and Citrine well and spray just enough liquid until you reach an ideal consistency. The texture should look like thick, melted chocolate.
  • Apply evenly to a clean complexion and allow her to sit pretty until she dries.
  • Rinse well with warm water.

Kalima Cleanser and Kokoleka

Leahlani Skincare Secrets of Aloha Alchemy + skin recipes!!

Oh my heavens! There is something seriously magical about this combo of Kokoleka and Kalima. I will indulge in this beauty whenever I feel the need to seriously treat my skin. This duo has some serious superfood ingredients, and when combined, magic happens. Cacao, colloidal oatmeal, vitamin C, acai, both alaea and black lava sea salt, vanilla beans, clays, tropical fruits… These beauties will help deeply cleanse the pores, soften the complexion and leave your skin glowing. This duo is suited for all skin types.

The alchemy:

  • You can play around with the ratios of this one. I personally prefer about one Tbs. of Kokoleka and 1 tsp of Kalima.
  • Slowly add water drop by drop (or toner of choice) until you reach an ideal consistency. I prefer the mixture to super thick and rich and love painting it on with my mask brush.
  • Let her sit pretty for a good 5-10 minutes and rinse well with warm water.
  • While rinsing, use circular motions to gently ‘exfoliate’ the skin.

Sarita’s Aloha Mocktail

Leahlani Skincare Secrets of Aloha Alchemy + skin recipes!!

Mocktail benefits: The skin loves oil and water. By misting your hands with a few sprays of our hydrating and nutrient dense toners, you are adding instant hydration that the skin will soak in.

Leahlani Skincare "Aloha" Mocktail

  • If your skin tends to be more sensitive and prone to redness and/or irritation, I suggest Bohemian Ruby Toner.  If your skin is more on the oily/combo side, I suggest the Citrus and Citrine Toner.
  • Adding a tiny amount of Bless Balm (think 1/3 pea size) will add deep moisturizing properties due to the fusion of organic butters and oils.
  • When it comes to choosing your elixir and serum to add to the mix, the focus should be on whether or not you are applying in the AM or PM. Aloha Ambrosia is perfectly suited for AM use and Mahina works magic to replenish the skin the PM.
  • Adding a drop or two of a serum of choice will seal the deal. Add a drop of Champagne Serum to balance and soothe the skin and, or add a drop of Siren Serum to illuminate the complexion with a super boost of vitamin C and regenerating essential oils.
  • Gently rubbing your palms together will emulsify all of the magical ingredients together and warm up your Mocktail, which will feel beautiful as you gently ‘press’ into the skin.
  • Start by gently pressing into both cheeks, then forehead and chin, nose, and gently pat around the eyes. Finish by lightly rubbing into your neck and décolleté.
  • Inhale… exhale, and enjoy.
