Friday’s post covered my head-to-toe summer beauty picks. Today, I’m sharing a giveaway of a few more luxurious options to nourish your summer skin.
Usually, when the weather heats up, I switch out my cold weather skin care routine to products that are more lightweight and that treat issues specifically related to sun exposure, like hyperpigmentation (a.k.a. sun spots), dehydration, and nutrient depletion. All these can lead to skin looking a lot like wrinkled leather.
Hence, the reason that I bought all the products in this post for use this summer. Instead, I decided to give them away to you! No. I have not been affected by the hot summer sun.
Two very good reasons for giving away these skin-saving duos
For one, I must finish up my existing products before using anything else. Sadly that means I have not tried most of these exceedingly tempting products, though, rest assured, I’ve been reading consistent, stellar reviews about them that prompted me to purchase them instantly—that’s how good they sound.
And two, I mentioned a while back that I wanted to host a fundraiser for Danielle Messina, the inspiring blogger at The Glamorganic Goddess, who was cancer-free for several years. Unfortunately she was recently diagnosed with a recurrence that required expensive medical attention not covered by insurance. With the many events that I’m already involved in this summer, I’ve chosen to use this giveaway as a way to raise money for her cancer treatment on her existing GoFundMe campaign.
So, let me show you the two AMAZING options to choose from, plus how you can assist Danielle in reaching her financial goals and receive the treatments she needs.
Winning combination #1: Odacité (total value: $188)
It seems particularly apropos to help Danielle’s cancer treatment campaign with products from Odacité. After all, the company began after founder, Valérie Grandury, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 and made a conscious decision to detoxify her environment as a way to impact her health.
Her story is eerily similar to Danielle’s—including switching to a nutrient-dense, whole foods diet, as well as to cleaner beauty products. As Valérie continued to study the healing benefits of plants, she became a health and wellness coach and eventually launched the Odacité brand. She was one of the first to mark her products with a “freshency date” to indicate how long the made-to-order batch would last, much like a natural food item. She even offers a mini fridge to store the products!
Odacité is perhaps best known for its private collection—aptly dubbed “Haute Couture” for the skin. Valérie originally created these custom blends for her celebrity and high-profile clientele. The four seasonally-based serums are renowned for their purity, potency, and immediate results. Let me tell you, it’s not only hearsay—these potions work! I started using A Spring in Tokyo a little while ago, and my skin drinks it up. Each serum comes encased in its own elegant box. The one I’m giving away is still wrapped in its original packaging because I couldn’t bear to tear off the pretty paper.
As if that’s not enough, Odacité cleverly developed a periodic table of concentrates that’s as lust-worthy as the private collection. These brilliant mini-dosages allow you to customize any formula, while adding a booster shot of targeted treatment oils to your current regimen.
For summer, two products caught my eye: Odacité’s A Summer in Hossegor ($149) plus Papaya Geranium Serum Concentrate, Pa+G serum, ($39) because of their powers to treat hyperpigmentation, reduce brown spots, and repair sun damage with vitamins A, C, and E. This looks like a winning combination that can be added to enhance any face cream or used in full concentration on troubled areas.
A list of the well-chosen ingredients will show you why these two champion serums may be the biggest one-two punch your skin needs to keep it supple and spot-free all summer long.
What’s in it?
A Summer in Hossegor Wild Carrot (Daucus Carota) seed oil cold pressed in a small French village using the same traditional method for over two centuries, is the most skin-firming and anti-aging oil available.
Organic Blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) seed oil is one of nature’s most potent sources of antioxidants. Research shows that its oil possesses significant radical scavenging properties.
Organic Papaya (Carica Papaya) seed oil is rich in a natural fruit enzyme called Papain which prevents and helps eliminate brown spots. Furthermore, the enzyme dissolves dead skin cells creating a fresh, vibrant glow.
Buriti (Mauritia flexuosa) fruit oil from Buriti seeds are an extraordinary gems found in the Amazonian jungle from a tree referred to by locals as ‘the tree of life’. The bright, ruby red oil has an incredible ability to moisturize and re-hydrate.
Pa + G Serum Highest-grade cold-pressed certified virgin Papaya (Carica papaya) oil, Certified organic Geranium, Lemon (Pelargonium graveolens, Citrus limon) essential oils, Certified GMO-free Vitamin E (Tocopherols) oil.
Winning combination #2: Laurel Whole Plant Organics (total value: $152)
It is no secret how much I adore everything made by Laurel Whole Plant Organics—particularly these products here and this one here. Founder Laurel Shaffer’s commitment to purity and integrity yields products that deliver noticeable improvement to your skin. You feel it the minute the oils, balms, and cleansers touch you. Much of that comes from the organic, unadulterated, and biodynamic whole plant and floral ingredients that are sourced directly from farmers. But—not to sound sappy—a great deal of it comes from the love that pours through the formulas too. Every bottle displays a happy little heart on it and the words: “plants • love • science”, in case you didn’t notice.
Buying a full-sized Sun Damage Repair Serum ($72) to feed my summer skin was a no-brainer. The lovely Terri Hall from Integrity Botanicals sent me a sample size that I’ve been adding into my Laurel WPO cocktail with excellent results, but it can be used on its own too. Only one to two drops of this deep-orange blend will do the trick. The color reflects the high concentration of whole plant nutrients from Scarlet Pimpernel, Licorice, Sea Buckthorn, Gotu Kola, Rosehip, Chamomile, and Marshmallow to repair and regenerate skin on a cellular level.
An ideal companion for your body would be the summer edition Body Oil: Sun: Before & After ($80) that is not only brimming with 17 active ingredients that are beneficial to repairing and preventing sun damage, but is also super-charged with gemstone essences specific to the uplifting nature of summer. I bet this stuff is so gorgeous that if I would have opened it to try it, I’d never give it up!

About the giveaway
I was so touched by the response of many brands and websites who wanted to participate in raising money for Danielle’s fund. This giveaway is one of several that I hope to host here (wait til you see the kits I’m putting together thanks to Integrity Botanicals, CeeCee & Bee, and R.L. Linden!), so if you have other ideas for a collaboration, or other worthy causes, feel free to email me with them!
In order to make this giveaway work, giving a donation unlocks the rest of the entries, with no number being too low or too high—any amount qualifies you for the prize. To be clear, I do not benefit in any way from these donations. They go straight to Danielle. As of writing this post, she doesn’t even know that I’m hosting the giveaway. So: Surprise, Danielle!! Wishing you abundant good health and happiness always.
The one mandatory part: please make sure you leave a comment about which duo you’d like to win: either Odacité OR Laurel WPO.
Good luck and have fun everybody! Two winners will be announced on Sunday.
