Or she’s covering her face in food—not due to bad aim—but because of food’s skin-loving and therapeutic properties that helped her heal teenage acne and balance out her skin. Here she discusses her signature ingredient: Black Currant Oil and included two of her favorite DIY facial recipes that incorporate it.
What are the skin-loving benefits of black currant oil?
Black currant oil has so many skin loving benefits—high dose of vitamin C (it has 5 x more than an orange); rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and omega 6 fatty acids; reduces inflammation and swelling; and helps bind moisture within the skin to prevent itching, dry skin.
What products include this ingredient?
Since this is the core ingredient in my skincare line, all except peel mask, capillary strengthening serum and my newest facial toner (rose serum spray).
What results can you expect to see?
Hydrated plump skin; rashes, redness diminished; smooth texture; rejuvenated and glowing skin [Um…Yes, please!]

“I’ve used so many serums in my lifetime but this is the best ever. I’ve been using it for about 2 years now religiously but you see an instant results with this. The ingredients are all so delicious and good for the skin. The texture is perfect—not greasy or heavy. The best part—all you need is 2-3 drops. In the winter I use a another drop just to keep my skin protected..The serum keeps my skin well hydrated and plump. I love this stuff! “

I actually have a few, but if I have to choose it would be the Rescue Blemish Peel Treatment (I love facial masks). I use this daily overnight and wake up blemish free.
Omega firming Mask
- 3-4 drops of black currant oil
- 1 egg white
- Splash of aloe juice
- Mix all together and apply, leave on for 15 minutes and rinse
Berry Enzyme Peel Mask
- Handful of strawberries
- Handful of blueberries
- Handful of raspberries
- Puree all in blender and add 3 drops of black currant oil
- Apply for 10-15 minutes
Strawberries contain natural malic acid that may boost collagen.

I’ve also tried the Rescue Blemish Treatment mask overnight like Cecilia suggests. It worked wonders for my oily, blemish prone skin. I’ll probably do this once every two weeks now that it’s winter, or as needed. In summer, I could probably use this a lot more for overnight healing and prevention.
