Here I am, tagged again, this time by the lovely Eco Diva who picked me alongside some fabulous other bloggers: Kasey of Plein Vanity, Joanna from JoannaLoves, and Caitie from NaturallaBeauty. I think after this one, I’ll have to retire the TAG and get back to some pending reviews. Got lots to cover!

Favorite Fall lip product?

I love the creaminess and sheer wash of plum color that Bite Beauty Lush Lip Tint in Blackcurrant gives me. Whenever I heed the siren call from Sephora, this is one of the few brands that I can still enjoy. The nifty little B at the top of the lip color offers a dose of resveratrol, an antioxidant found in red wine, to keep lips supple, while pure argan oil, vitamin E, and fruit butters hydrate and soothe. No chapped lips this winter!

Favorite Fall Nail Polish?

RGB Nail Color in Haze. It’s a gray-purple shade that’s truly unique. The formula is listed as Five Free: No Formaldehyde, No Toluene, No DBP,  No Formaldehyde Resin, No Camphor, Made in the USA, Cruelty Free, Vegan. These are all pluses in my humble opinion, though it rated a poor score on the EWG Skin Database with a 5—ouch!

Favorite Starbucks Fall Drink?

I’ve swapped my favorite drinks to unsweetened green or passion tea for very clear health reasons that I list here. I’m a better person for it!

Favorite Fall Candle?

At the Green Festival in NYC 2013, I discovered these adorable Eco-pot candles made from soy bean wax and an eco-friendly candle holder made from heat resistant materials of bamboo powder and grain husks. The pot is fully biodegradable AND can be used as a plant-holder after the candle burns out. My  favorite scent so far is the fresh berry apple, but I don’t remember the other scents. And get this! The warm wax from the candle produces a body moisturizer and massage oil made from100% natural soy wax, pure essential oils, and vitamin E. Isn’t that so cool? I was only too happy to support this young business. I walked away with one for me and one as a gift for a special teacher.

Favorite Fall Scarf or Accessory?

Scarves, definitely! My gorgeous Tolani scarves are being put to very, very good use as you can see from this photo here. I can wear the dullest outfit yet pull it off with a funky scarf with bold colors.

Haunted house, haunted hay ride, or haunted corn maze?

Nada! I don’t believe that anything haunted is good for the spirit. Why would I want to surround myself or my family with dark images? It makes no sense to me. I’d take any of those minus the haunted part.

Favorite Halloween movie?

I liked the Christmas specials like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and cheerful shows like that. I don’t remember too many favorite Halloween movies. I was probably too scared to watch them, and I’m not afraid to say so. My sisters and I used to switch off the TV anytime the commercial for the Haunted Mansion on Coney Island came on, if that gives you some perspective. (It was FREAKY!)

Favorite candy to eat on Halloween?

The Hershey’s bag with all the minis eaten in this order: Krackle got top billing, then the milk chocolate, Mr. Goodbar, with Special Dark remaining in the bag. Nobody wanted those, unless desperate for a chocolate fix. I also had a thing for candy corns—so disgustingly sweet. I absolutely loved them. Now I don’t touch any of these. Sugar is my frenemy.

What did you dress up as for Halloween?!

Well…we don’t exactly celebrate this holiday. Historically, it was actually a pretty horrible time for many people—grotesque activities revolving around burning, witch hunts, and other travesties. Innocent people suffered and died. There’s nothing to celebrate about that. That’s the grim truth. Sorry to be such a downer, but most people aren’t even aware of this! However, one year I discovered an old hoop skirt hiding in my grandmother’s attic. This was such a cool find that I draped it with old curtains and paraded around Scarlet O’Hara-style.

What is your Favorite thing about Fall?

The last two years, Autumn skipped by so quickly due to the storms that we missed the glory of the season. The colors popping from the trees; the piling up of crunchy leaves and subsequent jumping into them; the warm and toasty drinks; and the mere fact that it isn’t too cold to go out and enjoy it…these are a few of my favorite things.

This tag seems a bit dated now. If anyone would like to do it, it’s up for grabs.
