Cinnamon spice and everything nice—that’s what Autumn is made of. The leaves are just beginning to glow with flecks of gold, orange, and red.
With the welcome return of a certain spice latte (don’t tell anyone!), everything’s coming up pumpkins, cinnamon sticks, sugared ginger, and crispy red apples baked in the sun with a sprinkling of nutmeg and cloves. Why is my tummy rumbling? I’m talking about products that are so luscious, you just want to stick them in your mouth and lick them! Some of them you can—mercifully.
Come along and take a whiff with me…
Caseb Naturals Spicy Oatmeal Soap, $6
This soap breathes the essence of clove, cassia, and rosemary essential oils. The scent will intoxicate you, while its regenerating properties will mend your skin. And just wait until you smell, slather, and immerse yourself in the soon-to-be-released Spicy Oatmeal Brazilian Body Butter with Organic Brazil Nut Oil. Don’t say you haven’t been warned when suddenly you have insatiable yearnings for warm, spicy breakfast cereals—all day long! (It could be worse 🙂 )
Farmaesthetics Hot Toddy for the Body, $26
How about a body scrub that warms when it exfoliates your body? Just allow the fine spices and oil-soaked grains to work their magic, while orange, clove, and cinnamon brighten dull skin tones and, hopefully, (dare we ask?!) help with cellulite. While you’re visiting the apothecary, don’t forget to check out the Remedy Oils, $21.50, infused with your choice of Nettle, Arnica, Calendula, Hyssop, or Lemon Balm to mend, tone, and moisturize skin.
Ilia Beauty 99 Red Balloons, $24
Red lipstick is all the rage on the runways. So why resist this classic red with a touch of blue? I’m betting this would look good on most skin-tones without overshadowing the wearer. Throw in healing oils of sesame, rose hip, and papaya, and this is one balloon I’m not letting go of this season!
Bubble & Bee Organic Soap Nuts, $9.99
I just wanted to be able to say I was throwing in everything from soap to nuts! Just joking 🙂 This is probably one of the coolest and gleanest (green + cleanest) laundry detergents I ever feasted my eyes on. These dried berries hail from the soap nut tree and lather up like the best of them, thanks to the naturally occurring, non-chemical induced saponins. They replace detergent, laundry softener, dryer sheets, and bleach, plus they can be used in the dishwasher, on hair, or even as a general purpose cleaner. Aside from their multi-tasking wonderfulness, how could I leave such an awesome photo off my Fall page?
ilike Organic Pumpkin & Orange Mask, $44
What would this list be without an outrageously naughty pumpkin mask? This gel cream is chock full of active ingredients: Pumpkin, Orange, Honey, Castor Oil, Orange Oil, Orange Peel, Calendula (Marigold), Vitamin A, B, C, D and E, Carotene (Provitamin A), Bioflavonoids, Pectins, Trace Elements. That’s enough antioxidant power to scare every wrinkle and sun-damaged spot away.
Republic of Tea Cardamon Cinnamon Herbal Full-Leaf Tea, $10.50
Imagine sipping this warming blend after a stroll through the woods crunching on leaves and skirting frisky squirrels. Cardamon has a gentle, airy taste of the forest itself—reminiscent of ginger with a pinch of pine. Cinnamon brings a spicy depth. I swiped the last two lines right off the description on the website—they were just that succulent.
Still clinging to the last vestiges of summer? Oh so sentimental. Dab your soon-to-be-pale skin with this sun-kisser for a glow so natural and healthy you’d swear you were in the wrong season. It won’t look heavy or cakey either thanks to the wild crafted Buriti oil from Brazil—the highest oil in Vitamin A and Beta-carotene known to man, according to Rose-Marie Swift. And I’m hanging on her every “un” covered-up word.
So tell me…what’s YOUR intoxicating brew this fine autumn day? Does it rev up all your senses?

A lovely post! A toast to fall’s warmth & scents.
Here’s a cinnamon apple spiced toast to Josie for being my top commentator and friend too. I raise my mug to a warm toast in person one day. Cheers, my friend <3
I look forward to it, dear Sarita! xo
Agreed – a warm and lovely post from a warm and lovely person.
Thank you so much, Elaine! When I wrote about cardamon tea, I was thinking about our interesting discussion about the condiment on Facebook 😉 Here’s a cardamon spiced toast to you too. My friends uplift me. And for that and many other reasons, I am grateful <3 PS isn't it cardamom not cardamon? The tin says the latter. Hmmm…

Aren’t posts like this dangerous? I know when all the senses are incorporated there’s a hedonistic drive to grab all the loot! Awful for the purse but such fun. Caseb Naturals is a lovely young company. I hope Ingrid Chuley, the founder, ships to you soon! The whipped body butters and deodorant are my favs. Thanks for commenting 🙂 xoxo
Great round up! You’ve got me craving a hot apple cider, mulled with delicious spices like cinnamon and nutmeg now..and ok an apple pie too 🙂 Plus, the hot toddy for the body has inspired me to start playing around with some of my own body scrub recipes to create a delicious one for fall 🙂

Lovely post! As much as we miss summer, cannot wait for what fall brings–new beginnings! xoxo
Life is cyclical. When we go with the flow, we rejoice in the endings as much as we do the beginnings. Thanks so much for your comment! xoxo
Thanks for mentioning my Apple Crumble Scrub in your awesome post, Sarita! I too crave all things spicy, and pumpkin-y this time of year. I encourage everyone to try my recipe though…so good and actually good for you! http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/person/kristen-arnett
Thank you for sharing such a scrumptious and healthy treat for the skin and and treat for within, Kristen! xoxo
Loving the look of that pumpkin mask! How does it feel with it on? And you were right… I’m definitely hungry now 🙂
LOL! You were forewarned 🙂 These are products that I’m craving and slowly, slowly buying. This mask I actually did use years ago and it has a gel-like consistency, but I can’t remember if I felt tingling or not. I have tried their carrot mask years ago and LOVED it. Let me know if you try it. The Ilike masks look very enticing. Thanks for reading and commenting, Elizabeth 🙂 xoxo
