Do you ever have those days when you want to shove some of that positivity mumbo jumbo up someone’s—well, we won’t go there! But I think you know what I mean.

It’s those days when you open a motivational email and it makes you feel like a failure. It’s like they knew every word and phrase to use to show you how much you are NOT accomplishing in your life; how poorly you are actually eating; how much money you SHOULD be making; how much love you’re missing out on; and how you’d like to grab the next sugar-laden, saturated fat-filled donut to drown it all out.

I think it’s safe to say, we have all had days like that, sometimes even weeks like that, and maybe even longer.

You could stare positive messages in the face and they bounce right off you because you can’t even relate to them. And that makes you mad at them. Because of how darned upset you are with yourself. Yup. Been there.

It’s days (weeks, months) like that, that force me to turn to the many healing resources at our disposal. Because without days like that, we don’t climb higher on the ladder of life and evolve further. It takes reaching that very blocked wall to make us knock harder, then pass through to greater consciousness on the other side.

And there is another side to that wall. It’s always there waiting for us to access it. The only walls are our own mental impediments to overcome on the way over.

If we didn’t have them, we wouldn’t have signed up for this experience called Life.

So the next time you consider smashing one of those motivational talkers with a telephone pole, remember that you’re actually breaking through barriers to your own liberation.  And you’re about to sail through.
